Feeling stuck in your spiritual growth? Explore these three things you may be doing that hinder your growth and some solutions on how to fix them and keep growing!
You get frustrated when things change that you are unable to control.
IE, Facebook gets a new update, someone cancels an appointment. When you are spiritually strong, you should be excited about change! You love allowing yourself the freedom to pick up where you get dropped off. You love the power it gives you to trust yourself and the universe that everything will be amazing. We can plan for the best things to happen until the cows come home, but the reality is that in order to grow spiritually, we have to stay present. Be in the Here and Now. Most everything in life is a choice. If it’s not a choice, we can choose how we react
Are you distracted? Or proactive?
What is it that you’re doing to unwind? Does it set you up to be the most balanced version of yourself? To become more settled in your body? Or does it distract you from your gains and growth? Basically, do you put yourself in situations where you are choosing Netflix over time to move or meditate…? How many of us are guilty here?
As humans, we instinctively take the safest route. In order to be more spiritually aligned, it is pertinent to break comfort barriers. Sure, it can be nice to unwind with a glass of wine and get a pedicure sometimes. But if you are consistently choosing wine over your daily practices, it’s time to re-align and re-set. Doing things that are good for ourselves and our spirit, take patience and practice.
You don’t have a daily practice. Or, maybe you used to have one, but think you don’t need it anymore?
If you haven’t begun a personal practice, this is one of the most vital parts of spiritual growth, and it is time to start now. You can start with something as simple as writing 3 things you are grateful for every morning and evening (or download up a free copy of Gnosis’ My Own Source workbook series part 1! ). Or you can meditate for 6 minutes in silence every morning. Or perhaps you commit to 30 minutes of yoga every day no matter what?
If you’ve had a strong practice before but don’t now, it’s time to re-set. You know how it made you feel. You know that it gave you so much happiness, a sense of clarity and focus. We can outgrow our practices, but it’s important that we stay strong and steady in something significant to our spiritual growth. Try downloading a free copy of the My Own Source workbook series part 1! We go through journaling prompts, gratitude, and it slowly transitions into some deeper work that is so luscious for the soul! It’s all uphill from here!
